Gallia... [Quietly, she lets him go, watching sadly as he rants. She wishes she could make all the pain and fear he feels, the sense of betrayl with a click of her fingers. All she can do is explain, and hope that it helps him.
Slowlt she draws him back into her arms, holding him carefully, stroking his hair gently as she rocks him slightly. She slowly stands, shifting him with a slight oof. He's heavier than expected, but it's still a weight she can manage, Romana humming softly until he quietens, rubbing his back] It's okay piccolo, okay? I can help you, and I'll explain what I can.
I... you know, I grew up with your... sister, and she was very much like your. As pretty as you are handsome, and very very brave. She ran away from my Nonna a lot, and everytime Nonna brought her back she'd run away again. My Spagna, my Hispania would try and get her to stay but my Gallia was just too stubborn.
Eventually though, she did decide to stay, just for a little bit. And then Nonna taught her a lot, just like Rome will teach you. How to be strong, and brave, how to hold a sword, how to protect people you care about. And like she did, you'll get stronger... and then one day Rome will leave us and you, and Hispania you'll get stronger and stronger... [She shifts him, brushing his hair back and studying him, giving him a small smile]
You'll be an empire one day piccolo. With lots of lands. And sometimes Romano will stay in your house, but sometimes he'll stay in Hispania's, or Austria's... And you'll go through a lot, and some of it will be scary, but you'll stay strong through it all. Sometimes people will be scared, but the people that matter will always care. And you won't disappear, I promise you. I've seen who you grow up to be and he's a strong stubborn man, okay?
[Shifting him from one hip to the other she sighs, resting her chin against his head.] We'll all grow up, and we will all fight along the way. Inghillterra, Britannia that is, will fight with Spagna, Hispania, and they will do it for many centuries, and then they'll still bicker at times. But no one will disappear, I promise. And...
And I'm not going to let anyone hurt you while you're here. And we'll find a way back, I promise. [A tighter cuddle as she goes quiet] Do you understand a bit better?
